In reverse order. "Man on wire" is extraordinary and left me with 3 questions. Why aren't they trying to push this film (and make some money)? How can Hollywood people think they can improve on it with a non-documentary follow-up? And a mundane one - how did they tension (or pull) the cable tight?
"Tropic Thunder" was a lot of fun and worth a second viewing. There were a number of standout roles beyond the two leads, including Jack Black's and Tom Cruises'. Also didn't Robert Downey Jr. uncharacteristically break character to lecture Stiller with "nobody goes full retard"?
